Armenia officially declared its intention to become another member of the CU in September 2013. Two months later a memorandum about deeper cooperation between Armenia and EEC was issued.

As of today it is known that about third of all the procedures that were worked out to allow Armenia to join the CU (“road map”) have already been put to life. The “road map” has in total 260 items and considering the rate the country has developed, by some estimates it will be able to join the CU in the current 2014.

Beginning of March county official representatives declared that Armenia will be able to join the economic community already in April, although only in December of the last year they talked about June 2014.

The ultimate result will depend on Armenian leaders and the rate at which they will prepare legal framework for joining the CU.
