The RF Customs service published two orders according to which the list of documents submitted for electronic customs clearance of the goods has been reduced. The documents were developed to simplify export via Russian border. Today most of the goods are cleared via e-declaration. The Unified register of conformity documents is also kept and controlled online. Due to these reasons, it is no longer necessary to submit originals and copies of declarations and certificates.
Order No 404 of April 16, 2014 forbids customs officers when consignment is cleared electronically to ask from declarants originals and paper copies of certificates and declarations obtained according to RF domestic legislation. Order No 405 of the same April 16, 2014 forbids to ask for originals and copies of conformity documents issued within CU legal framework and in Unified form.
The orders will come into effect on April 27, 2014 (No 404) and May 17, 2014 (No 405).
