EEC Board passed three resolutions during its meeting on September 09, 2014 regarding setting customs tariffs for diapers for children, for gauze fabric and for polymer methylene diphenyl diisocyanate (polymer MDI) as well as a decision to introduce 0 tariff for importing some goods used in manufacturing electrotechnical goods.

Children diapers have a customs tariff 9619 00; gauze fabric – 5208 (it is a fabric that contains 85% of cotton or more, unsterile, uncovered and untreated with any pharmaceutical substances, used in manufacturing bandage materials, roller-bandage and (or) used as a bandage material and not packed for retail sales); methylene diphenyl diisocyanate – 3909 30 000 0 (polymer MDI is a compound of one or more isomers of methylene diphenyl diisocyanate or its homologues).

As for zero import tariff it is set for electronic models, parts of the frame, used in manufacturing electric industrial goods for oil and gas, energy and railway industries, for special means of communication, digital TV. It is expected that the measure will allow reducing costs for manufacturing end product and enhancing consumer interest to it.

Resolutions passed by EEC Board on September 16, 2014 will come into effect in 30 days upon been published.
