The technical regulations of the Russian Federation

The first technical regulation was adopted in 2005 year and was the result of the reform started in Russia in the field of standardization.

The technical regulations of the Russian Federation are intended to replace outdated GOSTs of the Russian Federation. For the time being, in Russia, at the same time, on different types of products acts national standards and technical regulations. These standards are defined in Federal Law “On technical regulation”, the main document, which sets out requirements for the development and application of technical regulations. Document that establish requirements for:

• products;
• construction sites;
• production processes;
• processes of preparation of products for production, its storage and intended use, transportation, sale, disposal;
• processes associated with the performance of work, rendering of services.

These objects of technical regulation are included into the scope of regulations.

Requirements set out in the technical regulations of the Russian Federation, are required for entrepreneurs, which are working in the Russian Federation. This is explained by the fact that these regulations are ratified by the decisions of the Government of the Russian Federation, federal laws of the state. The products of manufacturers from Latvia are covered by the technical regulations in those cases when they open representative offices and import goods in the domestic market of the Russian Federation.

Types of technical regulations of the Russian Federation

•  “On safety of buildings and structures”;

•  “On the safety of gas distribution networks, gas consumption”;
