On Friday, October 17, 2014 an International conference dedicated to energy-efficiency was finished. Representatives of Latvia, Austria, Belorussia and other countries took part in the conference. It was held as a part of 19th Belorussian energy and ecology forum.

It became known that one of the agencies working under Ministry of Architecture and Building of Republic of Belorus is carrying out development of the CU technical regulation dedicated to energy-efficiency matters in building sphere.

Mr. Nazarenko who heads State Committee on standardization in the RB gave speech on this matter. He stated that energy-efficiency of the buildings cannot be reduced to calculating R-value – this no longer meets international level. As Mr. Nazarenko noted, an all-rounded system for energy-efficiency measurement is used in developed European countries when constructing a building. It is expected that similar standards will be introduced in the CU as well.
