In order to export vessels into the Customs Union countries (Russia, Belorussia and Kazakhstan) it is necessary to obtain certain certification documents, the main of which is certificate for vessel, registered within the CU technical regulation assessment system. A certificate can be obtained only if the declared vessel fully meets the CU TR 026/2012. Technical regulation on vessel safety stipulates requirements related to small vessels, equipment and lifesaving equipment for small vessels as well as requirements for use and disposal of this product, rules for compliance assessment, marking procedure etc. Certificate for a vessel is a document confirming that quality of a vessel (equipment for vessels) meets the CU TR requirements. Without such certificate for vessel it is banned to export such products into the CU countries.
Certificate for vessel is issued only after completion of all tests required by legislation. In addition to mandatory permit any supplier/manufacturer of the said products can issue voluntary certification document, confirming compliance of vessels (equipment for vessels) with individual quality indicators. Voluntary certificates considerably enhance reputation of the manufacturing company.
