Latvian manufacturers and suppliers working with the Customs Union should know that the list of technical regulations could be enlarged with three new standards:
- “On restriction of hazardous substance usage in electro technical and radio electronic devices” developed by Belorussian State Committee for Standardization.
- “On safety of playground equipment” – the EEC was a responsible developer of it.
- “On energy efficiency requirements of electrical and energy-consuming devices” – the EEC is also responsible for development of this document.
The above regulations were proposed for consideration according to decision of the EEC Consultancy Committee that is in charge of matters related to technical regulation, use of sanitary, veterinary and phytosanitary measures.
New technical regulations will be under consideration till 20.05.2014. Interested state body and economic agents can submit their amendments to the projects and (or) their constructive proposal prior to this date.
